Dried Pineapple Flowers

Because I don't have much of a sweet tooth, it wasn't until recently that I found myself getting into the whole cupcake craze. Based on presentation alone, I can't help but appreciate all the imagination people put into these little baked treats. I've been inspired by so many of the ideas coming from these cupcakes, like when I saw this dried pineapple flower garnish over at Annie's Eats. I love how impressive looking, yet incredibly easy to make they are! This idea doesn't have to just stop at cupcakes. These dried pineapple flowers can also be used to garnish salads, meat, rice... endless possibilities! Check out Annie's Eats for more cupcake decorating and baking ideas!

Re-inventing the Brooch

Don't you just love discovering ways to re-use items that have been long-forgotten about? I'm thinking about my vintage brooches! I know I have a few lying around that I never use (not too many outfits call for a fancy brooch, you know?) But see how beautiful (and expensive) they look when put on top of a napkin at a dinner table? Or what about using it to finish off a wrapped gift? Take a look at these images from Glitter Guide to discover more inspiring ideas!

The Boyscouts Lookbook

I adore Zelda Beauchampet's graphic brand for girls entitled "The Boyscouts." You see it brought to life in this wonderful Lookbook styled by photographer and art director Joost van Brug. I love the pink backdrop used in this shoot, something I don't recall ever seeing before. The colors pop out beautifully, and each piece is displayed likes its own little work of art.

DIY Love Necklace

I think I may have found the perfect DIY project for Mother's Day this year! This tutorial comes from the uber crafty New York-based blogger Kirsten of Studs and Pearls. I love this necklace because, aside from the low price tag, it's completely customizable! I was thinking of using the word "MOM" instead of Love for Mother's Day. Check out the rest of Kirsten's blog for other great projects like the Lanyard Double Chain Bracelet or the Alphabet Heart Tote. For further instructions on the DIY Love Necklace, click HERE or on the image below.

Miga de Pan Embroidery

The only thing harder than coming home from a wonderful vacation, is being too busy to share it with everyone! I'll get to my photos eventually, but in the meantime, I've found some lovely images from Buenos Aires artist Miga de Pan that I'm thrilled to share with you today! There is so much to be seen on her inspiring blog where she showcases a collection ranging from wall art to pieces of furniture - ALL hand embroidered. Incredible, right?
